Insurance company to pay for roof
If you’re not sure if it’s something that your insurance company will cover insurance company to pay for roof, I would call up and talk to them. Tell them what the damage is and see if they’ll agree to pay for it. If you’re still not sure, there are a lot of roofing companies that might do this for free or for a low cost in exchange for the contact information.
I am in the process of doing this and also have not been contacted by an insurance adjuster for my hail damage. You could try it out as long as you know that everything is what they say it is. I called mine today to get a status on when I can expect an adjuster to come by and I was told that there’s no plan at this point for them to come out but I should receive a call within 72 hours regarding which contractors will be used and if they recommend complete roof replacement or just repairs. If that happens tomorrow, then maybe more than likely they are going to cover it based on the fact that it appears the entire roof needs replacing due to all of those deep pock marks throughout. You never know, they might just agree to do it.
Roof replacement
I have had my roof replaced by insurance and that was in 2007. I’m surprised it’s only been 5 years!! My roof looks really good though. When we were replacing the Asphalt shingles, the company found a 4-inch crack in one of his valleys. It had to be fixed before we could get the final payment from insurance. Be sure they use qualified workers or you will risk voiding your claim! Always check references on anyone they recommend for work and make sure the condo association is notified about any installers coming onto the property as security companies usually require approval prior to contacting the contractor to allow them access to your home. My house was hit by hailstorms in both May of 2007 and 2008. In May of 2012, I noticed a leak coming through one of my upstairs bedrooms’ ceilings. The insurance company is telling me that it’s not hail damage, but I still need to have the roof replaced. Does anyone know whether or not this is hail damage? Please send me any information about how I can get them to pay for a new roof.
This is only going to be a problem if your home was damaged by a direct hit from a hailstorm. If there are just minor dents here or there, then you should be fine. My mother had her shingled roof replaced when she got her house back from repairs after being flooded. They did find some minor cracks but because it was not a hailstorm, they didn’t cover the cost of the new roof for her.
Hail damage
If your roof does happen to have hail damage, then I would say that you should speak with someone at the insurance company. They are going to determine whether or not they will cover the cost of a new roof for you or just do repairs like they may be offering right now. I believe it’s always worth checking out as long as you know that everything is legitimate. Hopefully, this helps!
My home was damaged by hailstorms in June and September of 2008 and December of 2012. In March 2013, we noticed water on our bedroom ceiling. The insurance company has yet to contact me about replacement or repairs. Does anyone know how can I get in touch with them?
My insurance company is the same way. I’ve been waiting for them to call me back about getting a replacement for over two years now. The repairs that they did do are not holding up too well and there have been several problems with my roof over time, which they haven’t done anything about either. Do you know how long it takes for them to contact homeowners? Please send me any information regarding hail damage on a shingled roof in Georgia as I’m having serious issues with the insurance company right now!
I am one of the people who had their roofs replaced in 2007 after being hit by a hail storm. My roof looks awful! Many tiles were missing and now all new ones are cracked. When I called my insurance company, they are saying that it was not replaced in 2007, but in 2012. What’s going on?
This is false information. The last time my roof was replaced was back in 2007 and I know this for a fact because we hired the contractor who did the work to come out and inspect it when we were having some other problems with our roof. I don’t know where you got your information from, but fact is, it has always been like this since the day after it happened. It just takes them a while to get around to everyone. I am responding to someone who received a new shingled roof courtesy of their insurance company after being struck by hailstorms. My roof was replaced by my insurance company in 2007 as well. I’m having a problem with the poorly done job and they are not doing anything to fix it! Any advice?
